Speaking at Parsons
In May 2015, Kay Unger spoke at Parsons’ School of Fashion’s Recognition events for the BFA, MFA, AAS programs at the First Presbyterian Church.
In May 2017, Kay Unger delivered the commencement speech for Parsons Paris at the Gaite Lyrique.
In November of 2018, Kay Unger gave the opening remarks at the Redefining Luxury Conference, a series of public programs, workshops, and events hosted by Parsons School of Design to explore current and future notions of luxury.
In October 2019 during the Festival of New, Kay Unger, Fashion Design ’68, and Donna Karan, Fashion Design ’87, spoke with Michelle Lee, editor-in-chief of Allure for The Power of Reinvention at Kaplan Hall on Parsons’ campus. This conversation between Kay Unger and Donna Karan focused on their careers throughout their long histories in fashion and how they continue to reinvent themselves.
During Kay Unger’s tenure as Chairman of the Parsons Board of Governors, she frequently spoke alongside the Dean of Parsons School of Design at the annual Parents Welcome Reception to incoming students and their parents.
Kay Unger continues to be incredibly involved and hands on with the students at Parsons and regularly visits classrooms on campus throughout the academic year.
